Description of School: Spruce Pine
Montessori School (SPMS) is a non-profit organization that serves
children ages 3 to 12 years old. Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains
of western North Carolina (50 miles NE of Asheville), the school has
grown over three decades into a highly respected center for pre-school
through sixth grade. We serve 60 students from Mitchell, Yancey,
Avery, and McDowell counties and are housed in a recently renovated
facility on two acres in downtown Spruce Pine.
