Admissions Process for New Students
Spruce Pine Montessori School uses a rolling admissions process where
children are accepted throughout the year. We maintain a 1:10 teacher to
student ratio in our Primary 3-6 Year Old program; based on this ratio,
we have a maximum of 40 spaces for 3-6 year old children. f there are no
spaces available at the time we receive your application, we will be
happy to put you on our waiting list.
Spruce Pine Montessori School has a three-step admissions process for
acceptance:
A scheduled tour and question-and-answer session with the Head of
School (This should be done with the child if possible)
A completed application turned in to SPMS along with the
non-refundable $50 application fee (application below)

One of the best ways to decide whether a school is right for your
child’s education is for you and your family to visit the school, meet

Enrollment Application
Please complete the enrollment application and return it to the school
office along with your $50 non-refundable application fee. You may also

Admissions Committee
The Spruce Pine Montessori School Admissions Committee consists of the
Head of School, one member of the Board of Trustees, and the faculty for
the appropriate age-level program. The Admissions Committee will review
your application and notify you by phone or mail of your acceptance
status.
